Graduation 2017
27.06.2017,
26 graduates from 10 different countries are sent into the world
The annual Commencement Ceremony, or Graduation, took place this year on June 10th with 26 graduates receiving their diplomas. All programs offered at the ITI were represented: doctorate, licentiate, master in theology, master in marriage and family studies and the studium generale. It was the first time that a graduation ceremony took place in our new "Allan and Radwan Riley Hall", dedicated to St. Joseph on 1 October 2016, at the occasion of the 20th Dies natalis of the ITI. The beautiful Hall gave the Commencement its necessary academic dignity as graduates and faculty filed in and went through the age-old formalities of conferring university degrees. The degrees were formally conferred by our Grand Chancellor, Cardinal Christoph Schönborn, on behalf of His Holiness Pope Francis, since the ITI is a pontifical faculty of Theology. As each graduate was presented to the Grand Chancellor by the respective program directors, it became beautifully clear how much ITI graduates will contribute to the world through the various disciplines in which they will now take up work or study: church service, education, business, law and politics were all represented in the future plans of our graduates as they set out to change the world!
