Conference - Man and Woman He Created Them: A Critical Analysis of Gender Ideology
04. Apr. 2025 - 05. Apr. 2025
Allan and Radwan Riley Hall, Trumau
In his Theology of the Body, St. John Paul II observed that the relationship between a man and a woman permeates all spheres of life. We breathe, think, create, and are happy as men or women. However, in recent decades, Western culture has fallen under the illusion that unhappiness can be resolved by rejecting one’s maleness or femaleness.
The theological dimension of this attitude consists in the denial of the value of God’s design. Historically it goes back to the Engelsian idea of the liberation of the first proletarian – the woman – from the first capitalist – her husband. The psychological motivation of changing one’s gender lies in the belief that lack of self-acceptance can be resolved by refusing to accept one’s own body. However, wounding the body does not heal the wound in the soul.
Women’s liberation has had only partial success in declaring men to be the evil force in history that needs to be dethroned. Even more so, true freedom from the ‘tyrannical’ authority of God is achieved not by rebellion against the imposition of His arbitrary Will, but through insight into His essential Gentleness.
Theologians and educators, doctors and psychologists, lawyers and philosophers in this Conference are united by the passion to bring the Good News: it is good to be a man or a woman!
We anticipate a high-calibre, interdisciplinary conference of academics with contributions from Cardinal Christoph Schönborn, Dr. Anthony McCarthy, Dr. Gintautas Vaitoska, Dr. Felix Boellmann and politicians, Gudrun Kugler and Faika Anna El-Nagashi amongst others.
Please register by 25th March 2025 with Mr. Juraj Mistina:
