Summer Program 2025
30 June - 11 July 2025
“Vos Autem Dixi Amicos”
“I Have Called You Friends” (John 15:15)
Why should I attend?
The primary aim of ITI’s Summer Program is to cultivate the virtue of wisdom regarding life’s most profound questions—questions that make a significant difference to life and its meaning. Our hope is that vital questions about the natural world, the human person and human relationships, and ultimately about God Himself, will spark a newfound wonder within you that enkindles the flame of desire to know the truth and live by it. The beauty and rich Catholic culture of Austria is a perfect contemplative setting for this worthwhile endeavor. Our main guides toward understanding the causes and principles of things will be the saints and doctors of Catholic theology as well as the masters of philosophy and literature such as the sacred Scriptures, Plato, Aristotle, Homer, Sophocles, the Church Fathers, Dante, St Thomas Aquinas, St Henry Cardinal Newman and St John Paul II. We will read and discuss their texts—the “sources” themselves—with one another in the spirit of peace, friendship and collaboration. People from across the globe will discover fulfilling perennial truths with one another and in doing so will forge new and lasting friendships. Please join us!
Which courses will we study?
The Gospel of John, St. Thomas Aquinas on Charity-Friendship with God, Love in Marriage and Family, and Theology and Science.
Who is invited?
We welcome all interested adults (18+), especially university students and their parents.
