ITI at the March for Life in Munich

This past weekend, 19 March 2022, over thirty students from the ITI attended the March for Life in Munich, Germany. The students also volunteered to help Stimme der Stillen, the pro-life group managing the March, keep the event well-organized. Stimme der Stillen was most grateful for the aid the students gave.

The event began with reading the greetings and blessings from Archbishop Nikola Eterović, Apostolic Nuncio to Germany, and Bishop Stefan Oster of Passau. The speeches following emphasized the decision to hold the March on the Feast of St. Joseph: his faithfulness to Mary despite his own doubts regarding her pregnancy is an inspiration to all men to stand firm in the defense of life. While the attendees marched around two city blocks, Munich police kept counter-protestors from overly interfering. The March concluded with the singing of Bavaria’s anthem. Over two thousand people attended the March: twice as many as last year, the first year Munich hosted a March for Life. ITI students agreed how excellent it was to stand together for life in Munich.
