New statutes approved

Holy See confirms changes implemented over the past two years

After two years of intense work with the Vatican Congregation for Catholic Education, the Board and Faculty of the ITI and its Grand Chancellor Cardinal Christoph Schönborn, the Holy See recently formally approved and entered into force as of December 1st, 2015 the fully new statutes of the ITI. The new statutes confirm and expand the range of academic degrees the ITI offers (the STD, the STL, the STM - all canonical theological degrees -, the Masters in Marriage and Family Studies and the new B.A. degree in Liberal Arts. The latter degree will within the next years be developed into a three-year Catholic Liberal Arts program, building on the already succesful 1-year Studium Generale program the ITI has offered since 2010.
