The St. Thomas Day
On Saturday, 12th of June, 2010, the St. Thomas
Day will be held at the ITI. This event will be organized together
with young people from the Loretto Community (Austria) coming for that
day to the Schloss Trumau. The St. Thomas Day will comprise lectures and
seminars held in groups on texts of St. Thomas Aquinas.
- simple meals will be offered for free;
- no participation fee;
- small donations are welcome, yet not mandatory, to cover food expenses.

This summer of 2010 the International Theological Institute
will open its new campus between the Alps and the Danube to summer
courses for university students and for presidents and CEOs.
The courses will be led by ITI faculty members and associates using the
Socratic technique to stimulate student interest in and attention to the
great texts - Plato, Aristotle, Augustine, Aquinas, John Paul II, and
Benedict XVI.
Included in the courses will be optional excursions
to the Alps and Danube and to the wonders of Vienna. Mass will
be celebrated every day, including
a private Mass with Cardinal Christoph Schönborn,
Archbishop of Vienna, who will lead a discussion with the students.
Leadership and Faith
This course for presidents and CEOs will run for one
week at the Trumau Castle. Classes will include intensive discussion
based on reading the great works of the West. Class members will
be encouraged to reflect on their experience as leaders in light
of the writings of the most profound minds of the past and present. more
Christ My Future
This course for university students runs for two weeks
at the Trumau Castle. Classes will include intensive discussion
based on reading the great works of the West.Students with theology
background and those with little or no theology coursework will
find new meaning for their faith in light of reason. more |
